Yelawolf Breaks Down His Tattoos

Yelawolf has distinctive style. The rapper's ink plays a crucial role in his look, and more importantly document the definitive moments of his journey through life. Born in Alabama, Mr. Catfish Billy broadcasts home state pride through tattoos. He also relays the trials and tribulations of a commercial fishing season in the dangerous Alaskan waters.

As part of Yelawolf Week, Complex caught up with the Shady artist to get the stories behind some of his most impressive body markings. Click the tattoos on the soundboard and hear him break down that famous "RED" neck piece, the influence of Chevy culture on his family, and a whole lot more.
